Attributes such as time, budget, resource availability, and above all competencies are becoming increasingly important; against this background, intellectual capital plays an integrating role and helps broaden knowledge within the organization throughout the entire project life cycle. The need to treat intellectual capital as a strategic project resource and to consciously integrate it within the enterprise as part of modern project management processes was also emphasized.
