The article deals with issues related to the human capital managementin companies operating
in the tourism sector. There was presented the characteristics of the tourism sector, and in particular the
most important of its industries - the hotel industry. The specificity of human capital of tourism enterprises
washighlighted, with the special emphasis of its importance in enhancing the value of the entire
organization. There were presented three basic models of human resources managementwhichfinally have
been referred to the management of human capital in tourism enterprises.
