Online commercial purchasing is a now a common practice. The purpose of this article is to
present the current state of the Polish market of internet B2B ecommerce platforms for small and medium
enterprises. The paper contains information about main types of internet B2B e-commerce platforms, the
characteristics of IT tools used in the purchasing process and potential benefits of their use by companies.
It also presents data demonstrating the intensity and manner of using the discussed platforms by small
and medium enterprises in Poland and current offers of selected internet services.
