Research objectives and hypothesis/research questions: The aim of the paper is to identify selected information technologies as a component of strengthening the potential of modern organizations to ensure information efficiency and shape the appropriate level of situational awareness of decision-makers and employees. The entire study is profiled by the hypothesis that: modern information technologies improve the processes of management and creating the necessary level of situational awareness of various entities in the aspect of ensuring the effectiveness of business processes.
Research methods: To verify the formulated hypothesis, this publication will employ research methods related to a critical analysis of scientific publications, industry reports, and other sources relevant to the research topic. In the near future, subsequent publications will also present the results of original research, including diagnostic surveys conducted according to the subject-specific profile of needs.
Main results: The article is highlight the role of technological progress and IT tools and platforms that create new opportunities in the field of situational awareness in terms of selected technologies supporting process management in modern organizations. In addition, conclusions are presented on their impact on the flexibility to respond to changing market conditions.
Implications for theory and practice: The article presents not only aspects related to the functioning of a modern organization but also the possibilities of using selected IT solutions in this aspect. The increasing significance of digital tools in business process management leads to a significant improvement in operational efficiency and greater adaptability of organizations in a dynamically changing environment. These technologies also support the automation of repetitive tasks, reducing operational costs and enabling a stronger focus on strategic activities.
